Lincoln Reflection pool

The Lincoln Reflection Pool has been in the news for over a week due to President Trump’s $14 million-plus rehabilitation project for the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, but algae seem to be growing there. President Trump and the Park Service have been working around the clock adding hydrogen peroxide to curb the algae issues and finally arresting six people on a “vandalism” charge, but does it hold?

How will.i.am Became a Professor at Arizona State University

Will.i.am was a pop singer in the early 2010s for the Black-Eyed Peas. He then became an entrepreneur and created an AI voice for customer service that exploded overseas. Due to the incredible success of his own business, Arizona State University reached out to him to be a guest speaker, but he wanted to teach it and expand it to the next generation.

Supreme Court cases

The docket for the Supreme Court is just as busy as ever, as they have to make rulings on 8 different cases. The Supreme Court must rule on Trump v. Barbara, which addresses the Birthright Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment. In addition to the Birthright Clause in the 14th Amendment, they must also issue a ruling on the Equal Protection Clause, which, in West Virginia’s and Idaho’s laws, potentially violates the clause. The next court cases deal with immigration and Temporary Protected Status(TPS) and so much more.

Taxes, Schools adding Bible study into public schools?

Texas is a majority Republican state which 67% of all citizens believe in some sect of Christianity. Certain bible stories, such as Adam and Eve, the Eight Beatitudes, and the Parable of the Prodigal Son, will be required instead of world cultures courses in the sixth grade. The majority-Republican State Board of Education granted preliminary approval, and after hearing 500 people’s objections and praise, it was moved to the education board for a vote on Friday. If passed, it would take effect during the 2030-31 school year.
